Overview

During my time in the Ministry of Education's web team, I have created several graphics and illustrations across various projects.

I designed new icons and card components for newsletters called 'Education bulletins'. I used playful symbols in a simple, flat style to represent the different topics. For colours, I used brand purples and tints from the MOE design system.

We did a second version of the cards, giving me the chance to relook at the icon designs. I retained many of the symbols, but rendered them in a more detailed and three dimensional style using shadows and gradients.

The web team needed a page that would display when our sites are down for scheduled maintenance or updates. I crated some playful illustrations that could feature on the page.

As part of the ministry's main website update, I designed an Open Graph image that is displayed when links are shared on social media.

It was important that the image was recognisable and read well at smaller sizes on various devices.
